Jul 19, 2010 - glad this only affects right-handed people. Otherwise, they'd have a real problem on their hands. Oh wait...

Jul 17, 2010 - this is why I sold my nexus one for the iPhone , android is not good in the clutch when you really need it.

jackmeyhoffer Says:

Jul 17, 2010 - You retards realize that a lower negative number of dBm is better right? Also -80 is considered 5 bars on the iphone. lol youtube clowns.

mochiman1 Says:

Jul 17, 2010 - Finally, someone with sense! When it happens to others, it causes no disturbance; When Apple has this issue, everyone freaks out.

Praetori Says:

Jul 5, 2010 - Well starting with -80dbm is not very good. And since it's signal to noise measured then the slightest disturbance will have huge effects. Sure, some phones are better than others. Sony Ericsson and Nokia have been building phones forever and have mostly done away with child diseases such as this nowdays but it happened on a lot of models during the 90's.

karaatanasov Says:

Jul 2, 2010 - I am using nexus for about 7 months now and had no network issues, including 3G. Actually it is much better than other smart phones I own

dkyau Says:

Jun 30, 2010 - not mind!! I tried and tried different ways and it still work perfectly. 2.37Mb/s on T-Mobile 3G with whole hand cover the whole half phone as seen on video.

SiYanara Says:

younestalha Says:

May 10, 2010 - Same issue here. mine goes from -103 dbm (no hand on the bottom) to -97 dbm (with hand). this last only 1 or 2 seconds then it autoswitch to edge. Changed to wcdma only (type *#*#4636#*#* in dialpad). it deactivates the autoswitch & forces to always remain under 3g. software stuff: Will google improve the autoswitch logic? hardware stuff: Is the N1 antenna more sensitive than other phones? Is there some comparison of signal with other phones on same network same location with & w/out hand

IggyPiggy23 Says:

May 9, 2010 - hey has anyone tried outputting audio via aux or some kind of 3.5mm jack to stereo? when I try that it randomly plays songs and changes songs randomly and just overall random... it weirds me out

DasHelm Says:

Apr 22, 2010 - I have the exact same issue. Google finally responded to this issue. And they responded with a big middle finger. I'm returning my N1, and I am shocked that I am disappointed in google. Time to charge up my G1 again

oskalene Says:

Apr 21, 2010 - is this like a big problem? can u stil have a nice experience using the phone even though u have this problem? also, not all N1 have this problem, some people report their 3g works perfectly fine, please reply thank u

DaVorak456 Says:

Apr 17, 2010 - Anyone know if this is related to HTC having used foil antenna in the bottom of the phone and if the HTC desire will have the same issues? I know that some other phones can have similar issues. I wonder if it is partly realted to the N1 not upping the transmitter power enough? Anyone with proper electronics knowledge got any ideas?

alejandrogarcia209 Says:
