Nov 30, 2011 - It's hard to compare them unless you're more specific. In terms of protection, the Tough is slightly thicker and more protective. The POP! is meant to be a stylish "every day" case, and is a good balance between size and protection. Also it looks a lot better (in our opinion anyway). Most people are happy with the POP!, while the Tough is more niche.

Not that there's anything inherently wrong with the Case-mate Tough; but the Defender just brings a lot more to the table in terms of coverage and overall protection. The included belt clip holster of the Defender also adds utility. Just keep in mind that either case is not going to be slim. You might find the Defender (as well as the Tough) too bulky for comfort if you have an aversion to larger cases.

May 17, 2011 - Protection? All the way. But we felt the POP! was a lot more versatile in that it looked a lot more stylish, offered good protection (for its size) and had a better fit and feel on the phone than the Tough Case did. They're both good cases - we would say we slightly lean toward the POP! if we had to choose between the two.
