May 24, 2012 - Great video. I'm very excited for this and I hope handset manufacturers as well as Android modders support this Is there any way you can get the phone to display the ubuntu gui (i.e. without using an external monitor)? That'll be really awesome. Icing on the cake? Also what are the requirements? I hope it'll still work fine on my Desire Z (even when overclocked). I'll run swap if I have to :P

May 21, 2012 - "Yo dawg! I heard you like Linux! So I put Linux on your Linux so you can Linux while you Linux!" But seriously, this is awesome and definitely the future - why bother carrying a screen and a keyboard around with you? This, at a stroke, renders Win8 obsolete before it has even been launched.

May 16, 2012 - There is just one Linux kernel running. Its just the interface that changes. The advantages are obvious, as in I can do any desktop related work better.

May 13, 2012 - You've missed the point that Ubuntu is running *ON* the phone. This isn't the phone syncing with a desktop. This is the phone running the desktop OS (Ubuntu) and Android at the same time. When plugged into the TV, it runs Ubuntu TV. Your phone isn't already doing this wirelessly.

lang666 Says:

May 12, 2012 - My phone can already do all that wierless. Sorry this stinks.

May 6, 2012 - I want this so bad. Webtop on my Droid4 is nice, but full fledged integration would be awesome. I'd just have to buy a dock for each of my tv's...

May 5, 2012 - I am never getting an iphone again. Converted, and oh god Ubunto is so beatiful! Why have I never seen this?! But I have one question (maybe two...) I would want to plug my phone into my HD tv so I could turn my TV into a monitor use a wireless key board and mouse and just use my Tv as a desktop computer, but from the video I got the impression that if I connect the phone to a TV it launches into that TV mode which I wouldnt want to do, would it be switchable to Desktop on a TV?

Apr 2, 2012 - For industry specific applications and SaaS offerings, MS Windows may still be required. However, for the majority of my daily tasks in the IT office (many of which are browser based, and Chrome runs perfectly), this is a dream. I'll be using this nearly exclusively when it's available on my LTE Galaxy Nexus.
