May 26, 2012 - According to the silk screening on the amp, it requires 0.5A of current at 12V = 6 watts! Time to load up some JL Audio W7's!!!

zxz38 Says:

May 26, 2012 - its max 60 W.12x5=60

IzetDK Says:

May 15, 2012 - Yea, i know that, but theres so many diffrent sizes of the INPUT.. which you put IN the ampilifer (idk how to spell it correctly)

bigdwiz Says:

May 15, 2012 - Per the side of the amp, it requires a 0.5A 12V power supply.

bigdwiz Says:

May 15, 2012 - Yes, but I'm not sure what kind of sub would actually work with this amp....maybe a 2" one?

IzetDK Says:

May 14, 2012 - Hey, could you please tell the specifications for the POWER SUPPLY? As it doesnt come with it, and i cant figure which one to buy, etc.. ?

May 14, 2012 - 500 watts is a little bit creative. Chinese stuff is always dodgy.

Feb 10, 2012 - dont you mean AC to DC :D

bigdwiz Says:

Feb 10, 2012 - Using this amp, you could make an iPod speaker dock, but it is weaker than most of the nice docks you can buy. I still like the Lepai LP-2020A+, but with any of these, you'll need either a small 12v battery or a 12v DC to AC adapter

SilvanTheuma Says:

Feb 9, 2012 - I was looking for an amp because I was doing some kind of a powerful portable iPhone dock. Does this amp have a built in battery and what type of mini amp do you suggest if not this one. thanks a lot

Jan 17, 2012 - Will you test the Mitzu Mit-75n?? Super Please!!!!

bigdwiz Says:

Jan 16, 2012 - The power wire attached to this amp is no larger than 16ga. I miss the days of mfg's rating amps based on 4ohm RMS output power. Back when a Punch 150 was 150 watts at 4 ohms (stereo). Nowadays a Punch 300 is 75x2 at 4ohms and 300 watts total at 2ohms (at 14.4v, not 12v also).

StinkyCheese9999 Says:

Jan 16, 2012 - Well, you can pop the cover off and tell a lot. No voltage boost circuit means at most it can manage rail-to-rail voltage output minus forward drop across the amp output stage. However, just for kicks a "500W" amp ought to have testing with 12ga or lower power supply wiring. Maybe the wiring used in the video was <= 12 ga, or maybe not but I mention it for other people's testing of 500W amps.
