Jan 23, 2012 - Having seen her in concert multiple times, I can attest that this kind of pause/hiccup is not unusual for her. I think it's an artistic affectation that adds tension and intensity to the music and is entirely intentional. Whatever it is, it works.

Jan 23, 2012 - I'm not sure if that was a hiccup or a goof, but it looked to me like her left hand might've cramped. It was still smooth in my opinion

Sep 14, 2011 - anyone watch Father Mukada from Oz sing this? :D

KarenJMoore1 Says:

Aug 26, 2011 - I love the way she throws in that purposeful hiccup at 2:03. Brilliant. It's rare to see such an accomplished musician be so playful with their instrument and their songs in general. Too many musicians take themselves so seriously.

wendyjensenca Says:

Jul 13, 2011 - Tori writes all her music.

wendyjensenca Says:

Jul 13, 2011 - it almost looks like she goofed at 2:08ish...even the pros can have their fingers slip but still, an absolutely amazing performance by one of my favourites.

Blkpoca28 Says:

May 26, 2011 - Yeah. Aside from the covers that she does, she writes all of her music herself nowadays. Absolutely amazing how she comes up with her stuff. Check out her book Piece by Piece. Truly an artist in her own right; but then again, I could be biased. Huge fan for about 20 years now. Tee hee! :-D

May 2, 2011 - A&E channel in 2007. The entire show was awesome.

Apr 1, 2011 - Wait, what? When was this aired? I didn't know any channel still showed simple music performances. Were are the reality show dickheads? Where are the snarky Crime Scene Investigators?

Mar 11, 2011 - Cheers to all the men that give us the emotional means of creating art such as this.

Mar 10, 2011 - Cheers to the men who become the subject of our art. ;)

Mar 10, 2011 - The first time I heard this song was on an episode of Oz. Father Ray Mukada (B.D. Wong) lip-synched this song in episode 46 (Variety). Quite well might I add. :)

AliKatt28 Says:

Oct 4, 2010 - I went through this exactly. It's painful but wonderful for me to listen to.

jeannaegirl Says:

Sep 19, 2010 - did she write this herself? i heard it in my ballet class, but it had no lyrics, just the piano and melody.

Mar 19, 2010 - Love the way she stops playing and lovingly touches the piano in this one. She really is an amazing musician and she always looks like she's making love to the music!

Mar 3, 2010 - "I could just pretend that you love me, the night would loose all sense of fear. But why do I need you to love me if you can't hold what I hold dear?" Best relationship advice ever.
