megatons, combined with other factors,
to the most significant accidental

In terms of TNT tonnage
valence, Castle Bravo was about 1,200
s more powerful than the atomic bombs

ng World War II. The largest nuclear
osion ever produced was a test conducted

May 21, 2012 - it's raw power is scary and magnificent.

May 20, 2012 - The bombs look very awesome, and they are as far as the power of them goes. Still, think of how many fish and other species were killed when we exploded those nukes in the south pacific. How many millions of fish, birds, and other animals died?
jessica5000000 Says:
May 16, 2012 - ICBM warheads typically rang around 100 KT to several megatons at most. This one was around 10 Megatons.

May 10, 2012 - Haha coming from Nikola Tesla who was one of the crazies scientists out there. Although it is quite a good line

May 8, 2012 - 1200 times more powerful than the atomic bomb, I wonder where this was tested? I wonder what the radius is? Wow, cool shit!
BrianPex Says:
May 3, 2012 - The Pork Buddy, that is wrong. They make bombs now that are way more accurate and don't have to be as powerful. The tsar bomba was largest at 57 megaton, scaled back from planned 100. Bombs that size have no practical use. Well, none of them do. Lol

May 1, 2012 - Man's ultimate fate. Mezmerizing and beautiful yet horrifying and repellant as are all deaths, but multiplied ten thousand trillion times.

Apr 23, 2012 - how was the blast inside filmed? would the camera not have been destroyed??
ThePorkBuddy Says:
Apr 20, 2012 - well, at least in the event of a nuclear attack, we have some way to defend, and, if that doesn't work, we will be avenged! and if it is a world war, it will end with nukes, lots and lots of nukes. but it will start with conventional weapons.
ThePorkBuddy Says:
Apr 20, 2012 - that was a VERY small fraction of the bombs that we have today, russia was planning to detonate a 100 megaton bomb but scaled it down to 50 because it would harm people in finland 800+mi away, and, that was not even a ICBM, inter continental ballistic missiles. these missiles can carry several warheads, at least 5000 miles away, 3 times more powerfull that the explosion you just saw LEARN YOYR FACTS
HeadSHOT604 Says:
Apr 11, 2012 - This is 15 Megatons... the Soviets detonated one that was 50

Apr 11, 2012 - Thermonuclear bombs are the most powerful type of nuclear bomb(s0. They are more than 1,000 times more powerful than atomic bombs.

Apr 8, 2012 - Wow that's a big explosion also know as the end of the world bomb to me!
AwesomeCoasters Says:
Mar 30, 2012 - "First was your firecracker, a harmless explosive, then your hand grenade. They began to kill your people a few at a time. The the bomb. Then, a large bomb. Many people are killed at one time. Then your scientists stumbled upon the atom bomb. Split the atom. Then, the hydrogen bomb, where you actually explode the air itself. Now look who brings the destruction of the entire Universe, served by our sun, the only explosion left is the Solarmanite..." -Plan 9 From Outer Space

Mar 28, 2012 - It's truly beautiful and magnificent as a first impression. But after the facts start going through your head you realize you've just watched what could have been the end civilization.

Mar 23, 2012 - Don't be surprised if thermonuclear war happens this year. Oh wait, you wouldn't have had time to have been surprised. Neither would I.

Mar 16, 2012 - we had created a star on earth for a brief 2 seconds. The fireball, in a nutshell, is a star.
ultraviolet7327 Says:
Mar 11, 2012 - If the tsar bomb would have been exploded at full yield of 100 megatons the brightness of the explosion would have peaked at 10^35watts per cm2, and with that much power it would have vaporized everything for thousands of miles around, including mountains, oceans etc.
