May 4, 2012 - Can someone tell me why sprint won't fix my damn charging port this is bullshit I pay insurance for them to tell me my phones not covered and on top of that they won't sell me a phone because I can't upgrade yet -_-

THEOGMACE24 Says:

Apr 28, 2012 - How do you get sprint to give you a new evo, their saying i need to go through my insurance

StyngRay1 Says:

Apr 23, 2012 - sprint are fuckers. the charge port issue is very common. it occurs in various forms from inability to charging to the port coming loose from motherboard. they wont repair it despite insurance claiming it is not a "common problem" which they don't tell u when u get the insurance.

Apr 19, 2012 - Hey my phone is having the same problem and the guy at the sprint store told me i needed to pay a one hundred dollar deductible even though I have full coverage insurance. How do I get Sprint to replace my phone?

acklandspindler Says:

Apr 7, 2012 - let me know how please, they said I will only get help if I am insured. Im not!!! the phone is just over 1 year old, any help would be appreciated

hrm573 Says:

Apr 4, 2012 - I had my EVO for about a year before the charging port broke. And by broke, I mean the entire port fell out when I took it off the charger. Luckily the customer service in the retail store located in my town doesn't suck. They were able to prefer me a new one for $35. I've had the refurbished one for two months and guess what?? The charging port is broken again. I don't have insurance on it because Asurion is fucking terrible. Shenanigans -_-

Mar 26, 2012 - Need assistance from you or anyone. My htc evo went out last night, same thing, it will not charge. How can I get Sprint to fix the problem if it is a glitch? I have only had it five months and I have been paying the insurance on it each month.

Mar 22, 2012 - What's an appropriate thing to unscrew the screws???

vgilchrist010 Says:

Mar 19, 2012 - Same problem I'm having. My husband thought it was because I was charging my phone too often and I was the cause of the port being loose or something. I am so careful not to yank on my cords so I didn't think this was the cause. You almost have to either constantly charge the phone in your car and at home when not using it since the battery doesn't last that long when using all the phone apps, etc. My phone is only almost 2 years old...this is ridiculous!

nmbr1slayer Says:

Mar 19, 2012 - Just to let you guys and girls know, sprint is aware of this problem which is deemed faulty equipment, although its a manufacturer error Sprint has to cover the phone because it was purchased through them...don't let them tell you to go through your insurance. Message me and ill help if I can to get you a new device.

Mar 19, 2012 - yesterday my fone just shut off and it went dead so i charged it all night and it never came on so today a couple minutes ago my dad just plugged the charger in and out a couple of times now it want to charge idk something is wrong with the port

vegasmom28 Says:

Mar 18, 2012 - Let me know who that goes. They need a law suit. They also wanted $100 to replace the phone when I can buy a NEW one for $99! What a load of crap! It's a total scam.

vegasmom28 Says:

Mar 18, 2012 - SPRINT wants me to pay a $100 deductible on my insurance to replace my phone. THE PHONE COST $99 NEW!! This is a fucking scam if I ever heard one!

vegasmom28 Says:

Mar 17, 2012 - I am having the same issues with my EVO.. I was down to only one charger that works on my phone and now it's none. It was plugged in all might and wont charge. I think there is something wrong with the connector inside the phone. From what I've read, everyone that owns one is having an issue.

2009franknbeans Says:

Mar 12, 2012 - I want one. Like the one with the pink case that doesn't charge

noahDnewport Says:

Mar 1, 2012 - Don't get mad at Sprint for a manufacturing defect on HTC's part. Sprint is wonderful. I've never had a problem with them. They have incredibly great customer service. I moved and wasn't getting good reception in my new house, so they sent me a femtocell tower for free and waived the monthly fee. But yeah... the Evo 4G charger port issue is awful. My ex girlfriend and I both had them and while I never had an issue with mine, hers did not charge at all.

monim007 Says:

Feb 28, 2012 - I'm dealing w/sprint now for same problem. Had to lay phone down to charge & NOT TOUCH IT. Sprint?Htc will not admit to prob .I charged mine before bringing it & it was returned to me the port was taped to the phone so it damn sure doesn't charge now. I suggest you bring it in and deal with them before port detaches completely or they detach it for you because you will have to buy a new phone like I prob will. Waiting on CS to call me back. I hate sprint but boss pays my bill...Good Luck!!!

dp100eboggan Says:

Feb 17, 2012 - My epic 4g has the same problem. I just bought an Anker battery charger with 2 batteries included. Its only 17 bucks on eBay. Cheaper

tman229 Says:

Feb 14, 2012 - The charger port is partially loose. Mine was like that a couple months ago and since today is completely detached from the moherboard of the phone and won't charge at all. Apparrently it's a defect of the phone. Even before finding out here, one customer service person (out of like 15) kindly admitted it was.

hardworkingmlm Says:

Feb 12, 2012 - my problem with my phone is that it connects to the charger for 1-2 minutes then disconnects on its own. anyone else have this prob? i have to stay next to my phone and watch it constant to unplug then re-plug it back in, regardless of the 5 chargers I've used? is this the batt or something else? any help/comments would be great!
