Heres a video i made of the restoration and modification of a 1972 Dodge Charger. FAQ: 1: "That burnout sucked, why did you use oil?" 1: I apologize i know its kind of lame LOL but i had just bought the tires when i made the video and i need them to last as long as possible cuz they are not cheap. This car can burn in dry and stay there. I decided to use oil to make smoke out of the oil instead of the tires. 2: "Why Automatic Transmission?" 2: Because this is my everyday car and manual transmissions in classic cars are very unpractical in traffic, when i can have this car as my weekend car i will make it a manual. 3: "You Must Be a Rich Kid, This was made with your fathers money" 3: No, Hell No. I bought this car for 3000 bucks in very bad condition and worked very hard everyday after school with my own hands in it for about 2 years and put all my life savings into it. 4: "What Engine does it have?" 4: It has a slightly modified 360 engine with long headers, manifold, crankshaft, piston heads, an Edelbrock 4 throat carb, sparkplugs and cables. May 7, 2012 - I hope you pay for it. Not because I'm mean, but because it really makes the car all that much sweeter when you finally fire it up for the first time. Knowing that you worked hard for each and every component, and then worked just as hard again to get it all together.

May 7, 2012 - Not all that unbelievable. I re-commisioned a 1972 Land Rover at 16, ready so I could drive it once I hit 17. I was still at secondary school, and had a saturday job. At 18, while at college, I restored a Jaguar XJ of the same vintage. Both are still in daily use 9 and 7 years later respectively. All without much in the way of financial help. Of course, I was lucky enough to be given a welding torch, had access to cheap gas for it, and was left a load of tools. But, it shows it can be done.

May 7, 2012 - Good job, especially on a budget. But, auto 'boxes are the devils work. Manuals really aren't hard to drive, once you get the feel of the clutch. The shift times, top speed, 0-60 will all be faster. Also, you can drive more economically if you choose the gear, or you can drive faster by manually keeping the engine in the proper rev band. All my cars are manual, and old. Even my Jag D type (replica, though essentially from the 1950s) has a manual, and it's fine in traffic.

May 6, 2012 - I respect the resto and beautiful car but paying for a resto as an after school project. Say whatever you want but i don't believe that for a second, although you did a great job and must have awsome parents. I bet it was well deserved help. :) such an awsome car!!
